Which postcodes saw incomes grow fastest?
Prices rose 30% between 2013–14 and 2023–24. We compared median taxable income over the same decade in the 1,600 postcodes where at least 1,000 people lodged a return in 2023–24. After inflation, the median fell in 229 of them.
A postcode's median can move because people's pay changes or because different people move in, for example into new housing. These figures can't separate the two.
